November/2012

I did not post last night, and I was not going to post tonight.  But we have 77 people on the list now (I think) and many of you get antsy if I don't publish everyday.  Even Dave Hanna made a comment like "Yeah he used to post everyday."  Ben made a similar comment back a few months ago.  Now he is too busy with his gal Sandy and a beautiful new Lexus to worry about my blogs.

Anywho, I had to make an emergency trip to Utah yesterday.  Dennis realized his floppy fishing hat was in our RV and he needed his hat.  I got us two first class tickets, retrieved the hat, and we are home now.

Ok that was not the only reason we went to Utah.  If you recall, we had some work done to the RV and the weather is starting to get a little chilly up in God's country.  They strongly suggested we get up there and bring it back down before we have to winterize it.  That is why Dennis and I had to make an emergency trip yesterday.

On the way home, a funny thing happened in Beaver, Utah.  We stopped to fill up the RV and get some nourishment.  I don't usually go for the fast food on long trips as my colon does not appreciate it, but today I convinced Dennis to enjoy a convenient serving of fat, sodium, and carbs with a Burger King egg-a-something.

I ordered and paid.  A man behind us ordered and paid.  Dennis was gathering condiments and napkins.  The almost qualified person behind the counter brought up two bags and yelled out two numbers.  (Dear Lord there was only two of us in the restaurant.)  I told the lady I had the two sandwiches and greasy potatoe cake things.  Then Dennis and I left for the motor home.

Once in the motor home I told Dennis I would put his potato things in the dash where he could get them.  He said he had already poured his potato things in the bottom of "his" bag.  I quickly looked in my bag and saw, two bags of potato things and two sandwiches.  Dennis had inadvertently grabbed the other bag on the counter, which was not our order.

Fortunately we had not headed sown the road yet as I am sure the Bee State Patrol would be hunting us down had we.  I offered to walk back in and explain what happened.  The two girls were laughing.  I walked up to the guy whose food we stole and offered to buy him breakfast.  He was laughing as well.  It is always fun traveling with Dennis.

One Good Day . . .

Before you get all excited, we still have a Red Flag Flying.  We have seen some decent volume and the indexes headed in the right way, but we need a "follow through day".

By definition a "follw through day" is an important change in the general direction of the market.  It helps define the new trend.  It usually happens in day 4 to day 7 of a rally comeback (we are not quite there yet).  The technical aspect we are looking for is an index (NYSE, NASDAQ, or S&P 500) closing above 1% from the previous day on above average volume.

We had some good economic data today and if we get a good jobs report tomorrow, we could see a well defined "follow through day".  I would suggest you consider looking at your watch list one more time, and be ready to get your feet wet again.

If you were wondering, we did get in our position in CTCT Contact Software.  We did get a bit of a bounce on Wednesday and it gave some of the bounce back today.  We will look to add below 12 and have a stop alert at $11.05  We are looking for 18-20 by Q 1 2013.

We will do a forensic of our portfolios over the weekend and let you know how we are doing.

BAGAKOAA;

I am not a professional investment advisor. Anybody reading my blog and investing accordingly must be out of their minds. I have made more money than I have lost. There are many more qualified people than I to actually tell you how to invest your money.
