Can a Blood Test Detect Autism?      

Google Ventures backed SynapDx is developing a blood test it hopes will be able to detect autism using genetic markers. Read the article here.  

 
Autism & Sleep    
Researchers from the U.K. and Canada found that starting at around age 2 until 11, kids with autism tended to sleep 17 to 43 fewer minutes each night than their peers without autism.  Read more here.
 
A New Drug to Treat Autism?   
Up to half the people with tuberous sclerosis develop autism, and the hope is that any treatment that works well against tuberous sclerosis might also benefit others on the autism spectrum.  Read more here.
