Central District Master Plan Open House a Great Success!
On March 20, over 80 residents attended the open house event and shared their thoughts about the future of Shorewood's business district. After a short presentation highlighting the successes since the original plan's adoption in 2006, residents broke into groups and reviewed the drawings of the commercial districts, commenting on what they like about the changes and improvements and what improvements they would like to see.
Another public meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 21, to reveal the findings and ask for feedback on the recommendations. If you weren't able to attend the first meeting, we ask that you tell us about any improvements or changes you feel should be made regarding development areas, desired uses, pedestrian and bicycle improvements, or anything else you feel would be useful to the planning effort. Click here to share your thoughts with us.
Plan updates are available on our website under Community Development or you may contact Planning Director Ericka Lang with questions and comments. She may be reached at 414.847.2647 or elang@villageofshorewood.org.
