Weed Abatement
Protecting Your Property in California's Drought
Property owners are responsible to maintain their High Weeds throughout this dry season. In California's prevailing drought it is crucial to maintain a defensible space to protect your property investments. Here are some Fire Safe precautions that you should follow: - Remove all dead limbs that overhang any part of a structure.
- Clear away any flammable vegetation within 10 feet of wood piles and storage containers.
- Clear pine needles, leaves or other debris from your roof.
- Provide a defensible space that extends at least 30 feet out from your house in all directions.
- Consider fire safe landscape design enhancements that double your defense layer.
Sonoma County requires all high weeds to be cut down by June 1st! Landesign is here to help you control and maintain your defensible space. Please contact us here for more information on how we can shape up your property for a dry summer!
