A Celebration for the Best Team in the North Bay!
Our annual company BBQ, is a great opportunity for us to thank everyone of our more than 72 team members who make Landesign so successful! Authentic Mexican BBQ was catered by Lola's Market with owner David Orteaga and his brother Leo leading the catering team to deliver a delicious meal. Adults and kids of all ages enjoyed the volleyball game and bounce house. A very amusing Clown not only entertained the crowd, but he got the party rolling! There were raffle prizes and long-stem red roses were presented to the wives and significant others who help their guys get up and going in the mornings to arrive on time at Landesign. Special thanks to McClea's Tires for donating bottled water and Horizon Irrigation for donating raffle prizes for our annual BBQ. Much appreciated!
Sincerely,
John and Denise Fitzgerald

Happy One Year Anniversary, April!
In a short time April Haines has made a positive impact as an Account Manager in our Maintenance Division. April has a great eye for color and creates not only some of the most beautiful flower combinations, but also the healthiest due to her carefully designed installation and maintenance programs. Her degree from Cal Poly in Ornamental Horticulture with an emphasis in plant Propagation makes her th e perfect choice for enhancing your curb appeal. As summer draws to a close container gardens may need some extra attention. Sometimes a plant or two hasn't made it or, the opposite problem-a plant has overtaken the container. Here's where a call to April will have your containers looking fresh and seasonally appropriate. Whether you choose annuals or perennials, Fall is a great time for bolder textures and colors!
In addition to her B.S. April is a certified ISA arborist and a Bay Friendly certified and QWEL certified through the City of S.R. April has been in the green industry for over 20 years and is also a passionate volunteer at Herd it Through the Grapevine. This rescue organization focuses on Australian Cattle Dogs, Border Collies and Australian Kelpies.

Aeration
Now's the Perfect Time
After regular fertilization, aeration is the most beneficial step to maintain and improve the health of your lawn. Late summer and early fall, or in other words, NOW, is the best time to aerate. The process of mechanically removing plugs of soil every 6-8 inches allows a number of beneficial things to happen:
~ Releases gases from the soil, letting oxygen in
~ Increases the amount of water to the soil and plant
~ Stimulates new root growth
~ Helps control harmful thatch buildup
~ Allow fertilizers and nutrients to move faster to the root
~ Relieves soil compaction caused by traffic and equipment
~ Reduces water runoff on slopes and hills
For more information or to schedule turf aeration, please contact Bob Cerri at 707 578-2657.
