Through a multi-year collaborative process, San Diego Regional EDC, Biocom, City of San Diego, CONNECT, GO-Biz, Port of San Diego, Qualcomm, San Diego County Regional Airport Authority, San Diego State University, and UC San Diego have been working together with nearly 400 local businesses as part of the Global Cities Initiative, a joint project of the Brookings Institution and JPMorgan Chase, to develop a global trade and investment plan for the San Diego region. 

On March 11, the San Diego Regional EDC and its partners will jointly release the plan and announce a series of programs to assist in maximizing San Diego's global competitiveness.
