Notes From the Top
|
As we have all come to the realization that next year will be another year of change, I want to take this opportunity to once again thank all families that have given much thought and taken the time to participate in the discussions and planning for next year. There will be a survey going out via email to you today and we want to encourage every family to fill out the survey and give us the benefit of your thoughts. With this upcoming move, our desire is to make the kind of decisions that will create the most efficient, harmonious, and educationally sound environments for every grouping of students. We want to consider carefully all the pros and cons for each option. Your input will help us do that. As Mother's Day approaches, I wish to send best wishes to each and every one of our mothers, but also grandmothers, aunts, cousins and all family members, really, because as we have heard said in the old African proverb "It takes a village to raise a child." Best Wishes for a beautiful Mother's Day.
Warm regards,
Diana Lam

PARCC testing is about to begin! Testing will be from May 9 to May 13 for grades 3-5, and May 16 to May 20 for grades 6-8. Testing will begin each morning at 7:30.
As explained by PARCC, the test "is to provide high quality assessments that will allow parents and educators to see how a child is progressing in school and whether they are on track for postsecondary success". This testing is extremely important, and it is imperative we all follow the test's rules for the duration of the testing period.
From May 9 to May 20, NO VISITORS, INCLUDING PARENTS, are allowed in the school building after 7:30 AM. This rule will be enforced, as it is the law! If you have any questions, please email Elise Mostello at emostello@conservatorylab.org

On Saturday, May 7 (tomorrow!), the Dudamel Orchestra will join the Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra onstage for a night of dancing with the stars!
