 Michael Sylvester
Executive Vice President

 

Parsippany, NJ -- EWMA is pleased to announce the newest member of our leadership team, Michael Sylvester joined us as Executive Vice President.  Mr. Sylvester is responsible for the financial performance of the company and manages the day to day business operations.  In addition he is also responsible for the overall management of EWMA corporate business development efforts.

 

Mr. Sylvester has over 27 years of public/private sector experience in the environmental industry and is recognized on both National and State levels as a leader in Brownfields.  He has provided high-level technical, financial, and strategic consultation on matters involving real estate transactions, investigations, remediation and redevelopment of commercial and industrial properties.  Mike worked previously at the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) as Program Manager of the Brownfields Redevelopment Office and as such brings extensive and unique experience in obtaining financing and grants for development projects, especially those with environmental issues.

 

Mike holds a B.A. in Business Management and Marketing from Upsala College and is licensed by the New Jersey Real Estate Commission.  He serves as a board member of several organizations and is currently President of the Economic Development Association of New Jersey (EDANJ).

The 25th annual Higgins Classic invited golfers to play and raise funds for Special Olympics New Jersey athletes at Fiddler's Elbow Country Club in Bedminster, NJ. PGA.  The event successfully raised almost $200,000!  To find out how you can help visit Special Olympics New Jersey.
  

Mike Sylvester Opens NEDA Learning Lab

              
The Northeastern Economic Developers Association (NEDA) in partnership with EDANJ presented the NEDA Best Practice Learning Lab Series entitled "Stand Up, Stand Out - Winning Strategies in Site Selection."  Mike Sylvester welcomed Newark Mayor Baraka, panelists and attendees. For information about NEDA visit the website.
