The GNRS will honor legendary builder, Steve Cook with its prestigious honor of 2014 GNRS Builder of the Year. As owner of Steve Cook Creations, Cook has created countless award winning builds, several of which have claimed exclusive GNRS award titles, Pebble Beach blue ribbon and the 2011 Detroit Autorama Riddler Winner. Building cars is more than assembling panels and applying paint. For Cook it's passion for cars, a period in time when a design of a car demands your attention and appreciation for that ground work they laid. Cook never restyles a car beyond recognition, but rather completes them with a finesse of perfection, paying homage to the past. And it is Cook's level of craftsmanship that more than makes him worthy of his Builder of the Year title.

Inspired as a teen by car legends Barris, Bailon and Winfield, John D'Agostino has a similar arsenal of accomplishments that make him one of the greats. Winning his first title in 1970 at the Oakland and sporting his trademark chrome wire wheels, D'Agostino is a regular in the winner's circle. From the "Sam Barris Award," "Goodguys Custom D'Elegance" to the "World's Most Beautiful Custom," these are just a few of D'Agostino's achievements. Today, you can find many of D'Agostino's builds on display at the Petersen Automotive Museum or competing around the U.S. at very car shows. We are truly honored to have D'Agostino at the Sacramento Autorama Builder of the Year.
