A New Marketing Campaign
for the New School Year

Every summer, the Creative Center develops a different marketing campaign to be used during the coming year. This year, we partnered with Benjamin Lane to create the illustration used on our materials. Mr. Lane is a storyboard artist, character designer, and animator, who has worked for Disney, The Simpsons, Family Guy, Cartoon Network, and as an adjunct instructor and guest speaker at the Creative Center. Mr. Lane has also held storyboarding and animation classes at the Creative Center over the summer months.

Keep an eye out for our new posters and other materials in the coming months!

Featured Project: Theatrical Campaigns

In the course Design & Layout 401, BFA students are required to create an advertising campaign for a theatrical production of their choice. Part of the campaign must include a new logo and a poster, and illustration, texture, and layering are all emphasized. Below are samples of theatrical logos and posters created by CC students:

From the Director Kim Guyer

I can't believe there is only one week until our fall classes start. ONE WEEK?! Good thing we're itching to get our students back; it's pretty lonely around here during the summer months. Soon, our hallways will be filled with the sounds of crazy artists, and our faculty and staff members will all be smiling again. Yay!

If you are considering a career in graphic design and advertising, call us today to set up a time to interview. Fall classes for 2016 start on August 8.

If you are interested in professional development courses, the Creative Center is offering several non-credit courses this summer. You can see all the classes offered on Eventbrite.

Sincerely,
