Erin Hays Wins a National ADDY
The Creative Center would like to congratulate Erin Hays who won a National Silver award at the 2016 American Advertising Awards. Erin's piece, titled "Homelessness," was one of 69 national student winners - only two from Nebraska.
CC students won a total of 47 awards at this year's American Advertising Awards (affectionately called the ADDYs), sponsored by the American Advertising Federation. Students entered original creative projects into competitive categories which were judged by professionals in the field. The competition is tiered, with local winners advancing to one of 15 district competitions, and district winners advancing to the national level.
Here's looking forward to more award-winning work!

N.O.W. Tour Visits Campus
Every year, the Nebraska Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (NACRAO) along with the EducationQuest Foundation coordinate a tour of multiple college campuses in the state of Nebraska for high school guidance counselors.
Called the Nebraska On Wheels (N.O.W.) Tour, each year focuses on a different part of the state. This year, the Creative Center was excited to welcome this group to our campus for a portion of the tour.

Featured Project: Self-Promotional Websites
Every year, the second-year and BFA students are required to create a self-promotional website to assist them in their job hunt. The Creative Center then hosts these sites on CC's website for one year after they graduate, to give them the best opportunity to be seen by the employment community. Below are samples of self-promotional websites created by CC students:
