Guest Speaker Spotlight

Julian Young - Founder and Chief Growth Julian Young Strategist for the Start Center, Mr. Young spoke to the BFA students about talent development, entrepreneurship, and global marketplace innovation.

for Infofree.com, Mr. Cox and Ms. Arnold provided tips and tricks for in-house design and email marketing and development. 

Lincoln Murdoch - Executive Director of Step Up Lincoln Murdoch To Life, Mr. Murdoch spoke to the BFA students about cultural differences, specifically comparing Afghan and USA values.

Dr. Wilma Kuhlman  -Dr. Kuhlman shared her paper,  Wilma Kuhlman "But I Already Wrote it," which urges students to embrace revision and accept editing in their writing.

Richard Claussen - Executive Vice President of Talent Development at Bailey Lauerman, Mr. Claussen Richard Clauseen discussed the diverse clientele and corporate culture of Bailey Lauerman and encouraged students to apply for their upcoming internship.

Celebrating Christmas with 
Ugly Sweaters Everywhere! 

Students, faculty, and staff showed their Christmas spirit on December 11 by wearing their favorite ugly sweater - and other accessories.




Afghan Ettiquette - Up Close and Personal

Mr. Lincoln Murdoch was a guest speaker in the Management Across Cultures course last month. He used personalized exercises with the BFA students to help them understand the cultural differences between the United States and Afghanistan. 




Featured Project: Non-Profit Flyers

As part of a major promotional campaign, BFA students are charged with creating a "rush" flyer - a project that is given less time than normal for completion - on their non-profit client. Below are samples of rush flyers, created by CC students:

What does the company do?
Nebraska Methodist College (NMC) offers on-campus and online degrees in nursing and allied health, training the next generation of healthcare workers to make a difference in the world by making a difference to the individual. 

What does the graduate do? I manage a team of highly creative individuals and coordinate multiple marketing initiatives including print, digital, and video campaigns. I serve as Art Director for all creative to be used with our brand.
