John Henry Müller Encourages Design Students
On his way to speak at a conference in Lincoln, alumnus John Henry Müller visited the Creative Center to give our students a taste of his life as a designer. John Henry grew up in Le Mars, Iowa before attending the Creative Center and then opening his own business, What Cheer (named after the Iowa town). Most recently, John Henry moved to California to be part of a team called Pack, which focuses on dogs and the people who love them.
Throughout his presentation, John Henry gave excellent advice and encouragement to the students for their journey in this awesome career field.

Graphic Designer at Adam Michael Jewelry in Omaha, NE
High School: Brandon Valley HS in Brandon, SD
What does the company do? Adam Michael Jewelry is a locally owned modern jewelry store managing several different retail websites.
What does the graduate do? I bounce from managing different social media accounts like Pinterest, Polyvore, Google Plus, Instagram, etc. to jewelry photography, color correcting and editing photos, and updating several different retail websites.
Comments: I am lucky to work for such a small company. I work directly with the owner and the Senior Graphic Designer, who also graduated from the Creative Center. I wish I would have listened to the instructors at the Creative Center better when they stressed the importance of the Pen Tool; I spent a couple hours reteaching myself at work ... but now I'm a Pen Tool Master!
