Graduate's Portfolios Online
Before leaving the Creative Center, second and third-year students create a self-promotional website to showcase their work. These websites are hosted by the Creative Center after they graduate, to assist them in their job hunt. Below are some of the third-year sites; click on the name or image to see the website itself or click here to see more student sites.

Lead Artist at Midwest Impressions in Omaha, NE
High School: Fremont HS in Fremont, NE
What does the company do?
Midwest Impressions provides custom screen printed apparel, embroidery and promotional products for schools, businesses, teams and events. Virtually any item or garment you can think of, we can order and personalize. We also have a high school division which produces an annual catalog of custom designs for schools across the country.
What does the graduate do? In the art department, we create original designs and prepare that art for print, which is also done in-house. It's fun and rewarding to help our customers make a good impression with fun and original designs made just for them. I get to be creative every day, and I love that.
As lead artist, I work to increase the originality and technical skill of the art department. I do this by giving input and critique on in-progress designs, specifically designs being created for the high school catalog. I also teach advanced shading and separation techniques and give layout tips and tricks when applicable. I select finished designs for input in the catalog and work with the rest of the creative team to develop the look and feel.
One great thing about my work at Midwest Impressions is that every day is different. Some of my favorite projects have been working on a logo redesign, high school division branding, social media, and even a vehicle wrap.
Clients: We serve schools, businesses and organizations throughout the country.
Comments: We love being a part of the big events in our customer's lives, and we're dedicated to what we do. One of the biggest compliments is spotting someone wearing one of my designs long after the event has passed, or years after they graduated from the school we printed it for. That means they love their shirts. Or ... it's laundry day. But I prefer to think they loved it.
