The Creative Center is extremely proud to announce that 18 students won a total of 32 ADDYs at the 2014 Nebraska ADDY competition, including a Judge's Special Citation. Creative Center students won just under half of all student awards distributed, and the majority of these pieces will be forwarded to the District ADDYs. BFA '11

Creative Director and Owner
of 11/26 Art Studios in
Fort Myers, FL

www.1126artstudio.com

High School:
Harlan Community HS in Harlan, IA

What does the company do?
11/26 Art Studio specializes in print design for the entertainment industry. This includes anything, including identity, merchandise, CD packaging, or flyer designs.

What does the graduate do? Owning the company, I do everything from creative briefs, research, pulling scrap, sketching, designing, billing, promoting, and keeping the communication lines from the studio to clients open. Definitely a job that demands me to wear multiple hats and put in as many hours as it takes to get the job done on time.

Clients: Some clients I've had approvals from are Paul McCartney, Katy Perry, Deftones, Rod Stewart, Billy Joel, Janis Joplin, Rick James and Anthem Made.

Comments: I recommend to any designer out there that feels they can fulfill a niche to pursue it. I was told a lot that I was hurting myself by focusing on design for musicians, but it's what I wanted to do. I put in a lot of extra hours during the week, learning new things and doing work for any band that would allow me. Now I'm full time, my own boss, working from home, and doing what I love for a living. Chase your dreams.

From the Director    Kim Guyer
Congratulations to all our student ADDY winners this year! The work that our students produce is truly awe-inspiring; I'm pretty lucky to work here every day!

Make sure to mark your calendar for our spring Open House on March 22 from 11am until 3pm. If you can't attend, call Rich in admissions for a personal tour.

If you are a high school senior, and you are considering a career in graphic design and advertising, call us to set up a time to interview and visit our campus. Fall classes for 2014 start on August 11.
