Halloween:
A Creative Outlet for Art Students

Halloween 2012

It comes as no surprise that we have a LOT of fun on Halloween. In between lectures and projects, students are still able to enjoy a costume contest, bags of popcorn, candy and even "sushi." Shown above are just a few of the amazing costumes that our students and faculty displayed this past week.

Featured Projects: CD Packaging

CD Packaging

Despite the advent of digital music players, CD packaging continues to exist as a creative outlet. Students in second year are required to create CD packaging for fictional bands including the CD cover, the back cover and the CD itself. Pictured above are packages created by CC students; from top to bottom they are:

Punch
Christopher Northern - graduate of Bellevue East HS, Bellevue, NE

MetaGirl

From the DirectorKim Guyer
I hope that everyone had a fun and safe Halloween. The weather even cooperated here in Omaha with no rain!

With the holiday season fast approaching, take a moment to send good thoughts and prayers to the people affected by Hurricane Sandy.

And, if you are interested in learning more about the graphic design and advertising career field, feel free to attend our Career Explorers Post, which kicks off on Tuesday, November 6 at 6:30 here on campus.

High school seniors, let us know if you are interested in pursuing a career in graphic design and advertising. Classes for next year begin on August 12, 2013.

Sincerely,
