Police and Fire Department Service of Blessing

One of our priorities in the proposed renewal umbrella strategy states: "In order to carry out God's work, we will focus our energy and resources to partner with others to increase our influence in the community."
  
One of the ways FLC has been doing that for over a decade is the Police and Fire Department Service of Blessing and potluck.  This is one of the things that we do really well and is a great opportunity to be involved in our renewal. 
  
Join us Sunday, September 15th at 11:30 a.m.  The worship band will play.  Pastor Thad will bless the hands of those who serve the community through the Police and Fire Departments as well as all those who live and work in the community.  The departments will be presented with poster-sized cards that have been signed by members of the community.  Then there will be food and fellowship.  It's a great community event, a fantastic way to show your support for those who serve and protect, and a fun event all around.  There's a sign up sheet to give us an idea of how many are coming and what food will be there, but come whether you put your name on the list or not. There's always plenty and everyone's welcome!
