RIS Community "Gathers" for

Support and Celebration

Ann Reed-2
Approximately 70 individuals attended the Karen Wyckoff Rein in Sarcoma's Gathering on Sunday, January 26. We are so glad that you could make it, in spite of the weather. For those who were not able to be there-we are looking forward to seeing you next time.Pete Wyckoff began by sharing the Karen Wyckoff Rein in Sarcoma story, updating attendees on the highlights of the past year, and shared some of the exiting events ahead such as the mini-medical clinic and the survivorship conference at the University of Minnesota.

Ann Reed dazzled us with her witty commentary between folk songs. Songs were sung about sacred places, life gets real, home, dancing stars, Northern Lights, North Pole, and grateful hearts. Ann encouraged participants to sing-a-long to the oldie but goodie, "You Are My Sunshine," which we will never feel the same positivity we once felt when we sang that song. Ann also shared with us the song she wrote at the great Minnesota Get-Together, the State Fair, which was a wonderful tribute to the Minnesota culture and of course, cheese curds, something we wait for all year.

Thank you to all of you whom attended. We hope to see you again soon.  Please click here for the full story.
