Offer Your Hands!
Join our All Hands Meeting on Tuesday evening, May 14, at the home of Pete and Sue Wyckoff. What is an "All Hands"? A chance for us to come together to learn about the Party plans, be inspired to contribute to Raffle and Silent Auction success, and break out into committee groups to do our work. Gather at 6:30 p.m. for a meeting that begins promptly at 7:00. (For details, click here.)
Come early and get your seat, because we'll start our meeting with the official premier of the new Red Flags video, From "Never Heard of It" to "Caught It Early!" Our fine producers and actors will be on hand, to share their work and receive your thanks.
Plan now to follow up this night by joining again for All Hands on Tuesday evening, June 11. Same time, same place, and same great mission. Your presence there makes our work so much easier! Bring auction items to donate, get print materials to distribute, take home raffle tickets to sell, and keep our Party moving.
Also plan now to register on-line, ahead of time, for both the American Family Free Picnic and the Party in the Park. Systems will be up and running on www.reininsarcoma.org before the end of May. We really need your help to make this process smooth. You will benefit too! Help us to achieve shorter lines and faster times. Walk right up to the Will Call table! Check right out after the Closing Ceremony! You'll be glad you did...
See you soon!

Emily Greengard is one of the newest members of the Rein in Sarcoma team. A pediatric medical oncologist and Assistant Professor at the University of Minnesota, Dr. Greengard has become involved with the Medical Advisory Committee so central to the work of the RIS Red Flags team. Passionate about treating her patients and having the opportunity to combine her practice with research in an academic environment, Dr. Greengard says "it's nice to wake up every morning and think there's nothing else you'd rather do." Official Premier of New RIS Video at May 14 All Hands Meeting
We are excited to officially premier our Red Flags of Sarcoma Video, From "Never Heard of it" to "Caught it Early!", at our May 14th All Hands Meeting! Professionally produced and donated by Paul Sanft and Tori Bahr at IdeaTap Studios, this 3 minute video is entertaining, poignant and important. One more reason to join the All Hands Meeting: view the video on a big screen, then meet and thank the producers and stars of the video. View it, Enjoy It, "Like It" and forward it to all your friends, family, and contacts. Be a lifesaver!! Our thanks to all RIS volunteers who shared their stories and to Zach Sobiech, who donated the music. |
