From Michael.. Last week, the Thoroughbred Daily News...in a chart by Bob Oppenheim...mistakenly listed Gulch as dead. Instantly, Lane's End Marketing Director Joyce Fogelman shot off an e-mail explaining that Gulch was still very much alive and living at Old Friends. The TDN, to their great credit, published a marvelous correction about Gulch being alive and well and living at Old Friends, accompanied by a beautiful Rick Capone photograph of our Eclipse winner romping in his paddock... The Daily Racing Form has approved another edition of the Old Friends/DRF magazine scheduled to be published just before the Belmont. The magazine has been one of the greatest non-Thoroughbred gifts ever granted to Old Friends and the new issue promises to be better than ever. Special thanks to Mandy Minger and Barbara Fossum....The days are getting warmer and the tour reservations are heating up...Even the horses seem to sense the increase in activity. They really get a little bored during the winter when their adoring fans don't show up as often. As Old Friends celebrates it's 10th anniversary, I'd just like to thank everyone who has helped us become what we are. |
