Looking for Assistance to Expand Your Business Internationally?
Finding the time to focus on developing a new market is a challenge for many small businesses. The Ohio Export Internship Program is designed to help businesses overcome this challenge by matching them with highly motivated students, from Ohio universities and colleges, who have taken export-focused coursework at Fisher College of Business at the Ohio State University or Williamson College of Business Administration at Youngstown State University.

The Ohio Export Internship Program is designed for companies that are looking to export for the first time or to improve their current export initiatives. The program will match companies with students who have taken export-focused coursework, while providing a 50 percent reimbursement for the intern wages. This exciting internship program will offer a mutually beneficial relationship to students and companies alike by providing real-world experiences where both can learn and grow.

The Advantages:
  • Up to $3,600 reimbursement for intern wages
  • Trained, full-time summer interns will focus on export development
  • A uniquely tailored scope of work with specific deliverables
  • Students are mentored and closely supervised by the Ohio Development Services Agency and Ohio universities.

Meet Green's New Mayor - Gerard Neugebauer
Gerard Neugebauer became Green's newest Mayor on January 1, 2016.  Neugebauer's public service previously included serving as an at-Large member of Green's City Council and member of the City's Planning and Zoning Commission.

He is a graduate of The University of Akron with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and a Master's Degree in Business Administration.  Neugebauer brings to the Mayor's office a professional career in civil engineering and project management, where he most recently worked at Environmental Design Group in Akron as a Project Manager.

A native of Akron, Gerard and his wife Maria have resided in Green since 1987.  They have three grown children -- Patrick, Stephen and Rachel.

In this first year in office, Mayor Neugebauer will focus on a number of priorities including:
  • Relieving congestion and improving traffic flow along the Massillon Road corridor;
  • Continuing to place an emphasis on stormwater improvements throughout the City;
  • Expanding and making our community strong through developing involvement opportunities for residents and business leaders.

State of the City Address - January 28
 State of the CityMayor Gerard Neugebauer will present his first State of the City Address on Thursday, January, 28 at at 7:00 p.m. at Raintree Country Club (4350 Mayfair Road).  There will be a social hour before the address at 6:00 p.m., including hors  d'oeuvres and soft drinks.  The formal presentation will begin at 7:00 p.m.  This special council meeting is open to the public, but reservations are required and should be sent to Amy Sehm at asehm@cityofgreen.org or by calling 330.896.6602.  RSVP deadline is January 25.
