Growing? Ohio Program for Leasing Vacant Property
If you are thinking about expanding by both adding new employees and relocating to a previously vacant space, a new program from the State of Ohio might be for you, called the Ohio Vacant Facilities Fund.  This program aims at providing small incentives for growing companies to occupy vacant buildings.  The program offers up to $500 for each new full-time employee, employed at the facility for at least one year when a company expands to a building that has been vacant for more than 12 months. For more information about the program click here or contact Nathaniel Kaelin at 614.995.2292.

Contact the City of Green's Planning Department at 330.896.6614 or visit our Website to find available commercial properties in the City of Green.

Expanded SBA Lending Program
Growth Capital Corp., one of the regions certified development companies,  offers companies access to some of the US Small Business Administration's and State of Ohio lending programs, now has expanded lending powers.  Previously, these programs were only able to capitalize fixed assets.  Growth Capital Corp. is now the first lender in Northeast Ohio to be approved to offer an expanded SBA 7(a) loan program.  These new powers means that Growth Capital Corp can begin lending to companies needing working capital, improvements to leased properties or for business acquisitions.  If your company is looking for financing options, this may be an attractive program.  For more information on this lending program, please click here or contact Growth Capital Corp. at 216.592.2332.
City Update
City Financial Report
Ever wonder where your tax dollars go or how Green stacks-up compared to our neighboring communities?  The City has prepared its first community annual report to explain how our revenues compare to our expenses; how our property taxes rates compare to our neighbors; which agencies get a share of the property tax pie; and about the milestones we achieved in 2012.  The report is part of the next edition of Our Town Newsletter which will be mailed to all residents and businesses in early March.  For an advance copy, please click here.
Attention Business Owners and Managers
In early February, the City of Green Planning Department mailed out Information Update Forms to all businesses located in Green.  Please update the information we have on file for your company and return it to the Planning Department Office.  If you didn't receive a form or lost yours, a blank form can be obtained online.  The information will be used by the City for economic development and transportation planning purposes.  Updated information is also the best way to make sure we can contact you.

If you have questions, please contact Jessica Hyser, community development administrator at 330.896.6614 or jhyser@cityofgreen.org.
Thank You for Sharing Your Signs
A quick shout out to our businesses who have been so kind as to share space on their signs to promote the City's next Rain Barrel Workshop.  We appreciate your support and offer true thanks.
