Summit County Loan Program
Summit County has launched its first revolving loan fund aimed at helping small businesses. The program, which will begin next year, will offer loans for everything from start-up capital to physical expansions. Micro loans of $1,000 to $10,000 are available, while the largest loan amount will be $50,000. Summit County will charge five percent interest for all loans. Congratulations to Green Chamber's IMPACT Award Winners On November 7, the Green Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual IMPACT Awards luncheon and named this year's class of winners. This year's event recognized the contributions of five local businesses who continue to make a difference within the City of Green. This year's winners were:

Save the Date - State of the City Address
Mayor Norton will present his annual State of the City Address on January 30, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at Raintree Country Club. There will be a social hour before the address at 6:00 p.m., including hors d'oeuvres. This special council meeting is open to the public, but reservations are required and should be sent to asehm@cityofgreen.org or by calling 330-896-6602. RSVP deadline is January 25.

Annual Holiday POPS Concert
It wouldn't be the holiday season without the annual Akron Symphony Orchestra's Holiday POPS concert. The Green High School Select Choir will be performing alongside the Akron Chorus. Make this concert an annual tradition. This year's event will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. at The Chapel, Green Campus. Tickets are $10 per person for adults; $5 for children 12 years and younger. Tickets can be purchased online or by contacting the City of Green Parks & Recreation Office as 330.896.6621. This year's event is made possible with the generous sponsorship and support from Dale Brott, DRB Systems and SHEETZ of Green.
