Summit County has launched its first revolving loan fund aimed at helping small businesses.  The program, which will begin next year, will offer loans for everything from start-up capital to physical expansions.  Micro loans of $1,000 to $10,000 are available, while the largest loan amount will be $50,000.  Summit County will charge five percent interest for all loans.  Cascade Capital will administer the program on behalf of the County.  If you missed the announcement click here to read the article from the Beacon Journal.

Wondering What Small Business in NEO Think About the Economy?
COSE, in partnership with FirstMerit Bank, has recently released the COSE Small Business Monitor, a quarterly survey of local small businesses providing insights to the opinions, experiences and economic indicators from the view point of local small businesses.  Click here to read the most recent survey results and see what local entrepreneurs are saying about business growth and hiring in Northeast Ohio. Since the majority of business in Green are classified as small businesses, fewer than 500 employees, we thought we would share this insightful report.
