Tips and Tricks to Make Life Easier

It's easier to have fun when you're organized.

Here are 4 quick monthly tips from me, Molly Boren
of Simplicity Works Organizing Services. I hope they
make your life a little easier.

Remember: if it takes 2 minutes or less, do it now.
That is, read this now & then file or delete it.
How ironic if it were to become e-clutter!
DO

Calendar

Do Enjoy the Holidays
The scariest thing about today could be that holidays are around the corner. If you, like me, don't have all of your gifts wrangled & wrapped, etc., make some calendar appointments to prepare for the season. Setting aside real chunks of time to focus & act will feel luxurious, & will pay off in relaxed enjoyment.
DON'T

Don't Make Hard Decisions
If a decision is too hard, back up & look for an easier one. The hard one isn't the right one yet. When sorting through a box, for instance, instead of deciding where each item will go, first decide "keep" vs. "don't keep." Works in life too! Instead of "Take the job?," decide "what lifestyle do I want?"

GIVE

Plastic Bag

Give Grocery Bags
You may find yourself with a stash of unwanted plastic or paper grocery bags despite your best efforts to use cloth bags. Believe it or not, they are valuable: your local thrift store, farmer's market, co-op grocery, or animal shelter may be thrilled to take them off of your hands. Just ask.

Molly Shares Time Tips with The Detroit News
I chatted with The Detroit News' Jeanine Matlow about real-life strategies for time management (especially important in the dark winter, when we just want to sleep) & she's written a great article about it in today's paper, as well as The Detroit Free Press. Check it out! Solutions: Ways to Cope with Daylight Savings End
