Tips and Tricks to Make Life Easier

It's easier to be lazy when you're organized.

Here are 4 quick monthly tips from me, Molly Boren
of Simplicity Works Organizing Services. I hope they
make your life a little easier.

Remember: if it takes 2 minutes or less, do it now.
That is, read this now & then file or delete it.
How ironic if it were to become e-clutter!
DO

Check List
D.E.W. a Morning Routine
Build a few small, forward-thinking tasks into your mornings & make the coming day easier. The folks at Clutter Diet have a great reminder: D.E.W., for Dishes (empty the dishwasher), Eating (decide what's for dinner), & Wash (take the laundry to the next step). Check out their evening routine, S.S.S.
DON'T

Swimsuit

Don't Switch Seasonally
Avoid the  seasonal clothing switch-out hassle if you can (schlepping boxes to & from the basement...or not getting around to it all season & running to the basement for shorts). Try to keep all everyday clothes in or near your closet. Streamline your wardrobe & maximize space if need be. More time to swim!
GET

Pot Lids on Door

Get Levitating Lids
Pot lids are tricky! Make quick, moveable, customized storage for lids in unused space with a few Command Hooks on the back of the cabinet door. My client Jeremy found this cool idea on The Kitchn via Pinterest.

GIVE

Humane Society

Give to Animals
The people at the Humane Society of Huron Valley are more or less superheroes. My friend Carrie witnessed them drive miles & miles to rescue an orphaned baby raccoon. They help 12,000 animals every year & provide needed services to pet owners, trying to make the world safe for our animal neighbors. Donate now!
