Tips and Tricks to Make Life Easier

It's easier to be festive when you're organized.

Here are 4 quick monthly tips from me, Molly Boren
of Simplicity Works Organizing Services. I hope they
make your life a little easier.

Remember: if it takes 2 minutes or less, do it now.
That is, read this now & then file or delete it.
How ironic if it were to become e-clutter!
DO

Cash
Do Stash Cash
Tuck a $20 in your glove compartment & in an unexpected slot in your wallet. While you're at it, stash your most important phone numbers too. Phones do run out of juice! I've been grateful for both more than once (averting unwanted drama is one huge benefit of being organized). If you use the cash, replace it.
DON'T

Don't Replace
Taking down those holiday decorations? Do so without replacing some with the old non-holiday decor. Breathing room makes everything look, feel, & often actually be more organized. Fewer things means you'll appreciate them more, find them more easily, have more clear space for living, & have less to dust.
GET

Get Tension Rods
Who knew tension rods were so handy? Check out this crazy list of 14 ideas for squeezing value out of every millimeter of space. In-cabinet spice rack or paper towel holder, hanging file rails, under-sink bottle rack, divider for pot lids or pans...the tantalizing list is from de Jong Dream House.

Give a Safe Place
Safety and security are gifts of incalculable value. If you have it, can you imagine life without it? Appreciate yours and give someone else the same by supporting SafeHouse Center in Ann Arbor, MI or your own local domestic violence agency.
