Do Eat
Declutter your kitchen and build friendships at the same time with an "Everything Must Go" potluck. Invite friends to bring a few ingredients they've been meaning to finish (kale, anyone?) & throw everything together for an interesting & delicious new dish. Stir-fry, soup, omelet, or pasta sauce - you can't go wrong.

Don't Own
I'm loving The Joy of Less, A Minimalist Living Guide: How to Declutter, Organize, and Simplify Your Life by Francine Jay (aka "Miss Minimalist"). It's filled with doable ideas of things to STOP doing, eg, buying (& caring for) things that you can borrow. Visit the library for movies, ask neighbors about tools, etc.

Get Untaped
This comes up all the time with clients: what to do with those cherished cassette tapes (that you can't listen to because you no longer have a tape deck)? You can digitize them with a service like Southtree or by yourself! And if they're not worth $16 apiece to you, that's a sign that you can donate or recycle.

Give Imagination
Bookwallah's mission is to "share the gift of imagination" by collecting & distributing children's books, setting up libraries, & spreading the joy of reading to children of orphanages & children's homes throughout the world. Donate to their cause here! Another worthy tip from our friends at CompassX Strategy.

Get Organized in August & September
I'm scheduling organizing sessions in the Detroit & Chicago areas for August & September. Call or email to find your best time. (For Chicago, you can also check this link for availability.) We'll identify your trouble spots, break them down into manageable steps, work through them, & keep in touch to make sure you can maintain the great progress you've made.
