Do Seize the Weekend
A long weekend is perfect for organizing projects. Choose one small area & an hour or two & DO IT. A corner full of unfinished projects? An overstuffed drawer? Remove unneeded items & take them where they need to go. Replace the keepers, grouped by type. Freedom from the tyranny of disorganization!

Don't Jump Ahead
Don't jump ahead of yourself when decluttering, thinking you're being efficient. Instead, f ocus on "Keep or Don't Keep?". Separate the "Keeps" from the "Don't Keeps" in different areas, & then take the next step -- maybe, "where will I keep the Keeps?" Julie Morgenstern explains in her brilliant (& simple) SPACE formula.

Get Under the Sink
One perfect little organizing project is under the sink. You see it multiple times a day, maybe with a cringe. So it meets both the "quality of life" & "defined & doable" criteria! Bed Bath & Beyond's Two-Tier Expandable Under-the-Sink Shelf, topped with bins or baskets you may already own, can help.

Give Stuff
"Reducing barriers to desired behavior" is huge in organizing -- & for any goal. Those barriers are tough! One big one for clearing clutter is getting it to physically GO AWAY. DonationTown.org removes some of those barriers: type in your zip code & connect to a charity that will come pick up your donations. Voila!
