Building Project Update!
Attention Parents/Guardians
As most of you know, the Nantucket Boys & Girls Club is beginning our building project with the expansion and renovation of the facility starting in June. To prepare for this, we may need to close our doors periodically throughout this spring and minimally during the 2014 - 2015 school year during specific stages of construction. We realize this may be inconvenient for our members but we need to ensure that the new construction will be finished and ready to open next summer and the renovation completed when the school year begins in 2015. We will give you advance notice when we have to close so you may make alternate plans.
This next year will be exciting and challenging for everyone - our members, parents, staff and the community. The result will be a beautiful, new Boys & Girls Club for our children. We are offering our summer program and do not anticipate any displacement. We will have the doors open as much of the 2014-2015 school year as possible with some minimal program changes. We ask parents, guardians and members to be patient with the process and to understand the great opportunity this is to have a new Club for our children to enjoy. We thank you for your continued support and can't wait to see the new Club complete! If you have any questions about the building project, please don't hesitate to ask. The Club's future is bright!

Farm to School Program Back
We are happy to announce that we will again be partnering up with Sustainable Nantucket to participate in their Farm to School program this spring. Every Monday our members will take field trips to the Community School garden to learn about the basics of farming, gardening and healthy eating habits. Members will help to grow vegetables as well as participate in creating meals and various dishes with their freshly grown vegetables. We are so happy to be able to work with Sustainable Nantucket who provide this amazing opportunity for our members!
Click here to learn more about the Farm to School program. Thank you Kathleen (Farm to School Coordinator) and Sustainable
Nantucket!
