Happy New Year! Here's a little end of the year update from us...

Year's end is a great time to reflect. Change is the key word for me. What a year of change! One year ago, Leslie and I were living in Romania and carrying on ministry as usual. We both had wondered out loud about how long the Lord would have us there, but we certainly had no plans to leave. By April, we were living in Texas! Big change!!! You just never know where God will lead you.

This time of respite was not what what I expected or hoped for. Instead of peace and tranquility, I got turmoil and fear. So many ugly things were exposed in my heart and I had nowhere to run to and nowhere to hide. The Holy Spirit has been relentless in His pursuit of me as He tenderly but firmly cut away layers of flesh, leaving me wounded and gasping for breath.
"Faithful are the wounds of a friend." (Prov. 27:6a) That may sound very dramatic, but it couldn't be any more true. This has probably been the hardest year of my life, but I can honestly say I am thankful.

It is so much easier when we are all put together and have a 5 year plan laid out, but the truth is, I don't. I don't even have a 5 week plan! I find myself more dependent on God that ever, having to fully trust in His care and provision like never before. I do not know what is next, but I continue to wait for His instruction  and I am learning to trust more fully and really believe that God causes all things to work together for good for those that love Him and are called according to His purposes.

I am so thankful to those of you who have continued to support us in prayer and finances. I really didn't know what to expect during this respite time, but your love and commitment has been obvious. Thank you!

Happy New Year to you all! Thank you for your love, prayers, and support throughout this year of great transition in my life. After 9 years of living overseas, moving back to Texas was a very big step! This change was certainly something that I had looked forward to, and I was glad to be moving to the San Antonio area to be part of Christ Community Church. What a blessing to be welcomed with such wide open arms and hearts! Little did I know what God had in store for me!
Not too long after coming back from Romania, I began to get to know a very special guy in the church. The rest is history!

I am excited to announce to all of you my Christmas Eve engagement to Richard Truesdell Jr.! God is so good and ever so faithful! I thank Him for bringing this Godly, wonderful man into my life! We look forward to seeing what God has in store for us together. I am so blessed! We're in the process of making wedding plans and setting the date, so I'll update you further soon! Thank you Jesus!

God bless you all with a New Year filled with His goodness and grace!
