Leslie and I find ourselves in the perfect place for a time of restoration. God has placed us in the midst of people who are transparent, honest, encouraging and wise. What a beautiful combination. We have been taken in like long lost family members and are being loved in a way that many only dream of. And yet, we struggle. The mental battles continue... "What do we do next? What will people think? How long do we stay? Is it time to look for a normal life?" These beautiful, wise people continue to encourage us with two words- rest and receive. Who knew that would be so hard?

God, however, continues to give us opportunity to share the hope that is within us. No matter where you look, if your eyes are open, we are all surrounded by people who are in desperate need of hope. You don't have to go to India, Africa, or inner-city America. Needy people are in the church, at your workplace, in the grocery store, and living next door to you. On this continent and every other, precious souls are starving for Him who offers life both now and eternally.

I wish I had some awesome stories of jungle treks or miraculous deliverances and healings, but for now, the journey we are both on is going on inside each of us. It's a journey of healing, learning of God, and preparing for whatever comes next.  

God continues to stir our hearts for those around the globe that suffer. Our hearts are moved at the plight of Dalit and tribal people in South Asia who live under the societal assumption that their lives are of no value and that they are less important than animals. We hope to soon join them and bring words of hope from the One who values them so much He paid for their redemption with His own blood. We will keep you updated on this trip as details get nailed down. Until then, we will stay were we have been put for a time such as this.
