1437H We join Muslims in welcoming the Hijra year of 1437. Muslims date themselves with the Prophet's migration from Makkah to Madinah in pursuit of justice and peace. The birth of Islamic history is intertwined with the history of the world.

OC Hala Food Fest

If you like food you must treat yourself on Sat. - Oct. 31st for the Halal Food Fest. This food festival will bring together a variety of halal treats from across the world, carnival for children, bazaar and more onto the grounds of the Islamic Society of Orange County. Make sure you invite your friends and neighbors and treat them with the rich diversity of halal cuisine!

3RD ANNUAL POP SEMINAR         

3rd Annual POPS SymposiumThe Prison Outreach Program of the Shura Council will convene its 3rd annual seminar on Saturday, Nov. 7th examining the state of California Jails and the needs of Muslim Inmates. Join us and reserve your seat here.

 Prominent criminal justice reform advocates from across the faith spectrum will make presentations and former inmates will also give their eyewitness accounts. Let us join hands and help those who are striving to transform their lives!

 The Shura Council is pleased to announce the opening of the Long Beach Islamic Center after a decade of setbacks.

 The United Nations Relief Agency invites you to walk or run for Gaza on Sat. Oct. 24th in Orange County. 

 The Shura Council joins the California Interfaith Power and Light and invite you to join Los Angeles at the Climate Resolve Day on Nov. 6th. 
 
 US Federal Court rules in favor of New York Muslims who calls the New York City Police Department's blanket surveillance, discriminatory.           

 CAIR California has an immediate job opening for a Finance Coordinator. Please submit resume, cover letter and salary history to Arefa Simjee at info@ca.cair.com.

 ISOC and OCS have multiple job openings, both part-time and full-time positions.
