At a recent multi-faith dialog, Dr. Muzammi Siddiqi, Chairman of the Shura Council, presented an Islamic perspective on assisted suicide. Click here to listen.


 We congratulate and welcome Sr. Tabassum Haleem as the new Executive Director of the Council of Islamic Organization of Greater Chicago (Chicago's Shura Council). The Shura Council maintains sustained communication with sister councils across the country to learn from and share best practices with each other.


 The ACLU offers a free smart phone app to police the police in order to  record and report their abuse of the unarmed and the innocent. This innovative application aspires to empower everyone to exercise their First Amendment rights for greater accountability and transparency.
