KNOW H2O
It is reported that California will not have H2O in 2016. Causes for this catastrophe may be complex but possible solutions are not. Quran informs us that God does not love those who waste. (Holy Qur'an 7:31)
It is reported that Prophet Muhammad (blessings and peace be upon him) made ablution with less than half a liter of water. Next time we make ablution, let's think of the Prophetic practice and the following facts:
The ocean holds 97%of the earth's water and only 3% is fresh waterfound in glaciers, icecaps and in rivers and lakes. About 70% of the 3% freshwater is frozen in glaciers and icecaps and 90% of that frozen water is in Antarctica. The remaining 30%, i.e. 0.3% of the 3% freshwater is under ground in rivers and lakes. This means that the water source we are most familiar with in our everyday lives accounts for less than 1% of all freshwater that exists on planet earth!
