Together, let us honor those who gave their time, treasure and tears and made Southern California, home to more than a half-million Muslims. Some of them have left us (Adam Bholat, Jan Muhammad Diwan, Drs. Hassan Hathout, Maher Hathout, Fathi Osman). There are others who are in fragile health, (Imam Haroon Abdullah, Khalil Momand, Dr. Ahmad Sakr and Imam Saadiq Saafir). We pray for those who have passed away and we pray for those who are not well for their health and happiness. We owe them much of our gratitude for their lifetime contributions.


 At the Shura Council's 20-year anniversary, let us learn from the past and build our future, together. Please join us on Saturday, March 21 for "Honoring the Past, Celebrating the Present & Shaping the Future."

  

 Perhaps for the first time, the conference will bring together the senior-most community leaders discussing with the young leaders about the past and the present. Many Masajid will also showcase their history and plans for future.

Free Tax Clinic

 Is it an 'evolution' or a 'crisis' in Mosques, Imams and Muslims? Click here to read and reflect. 


 FREE Tax Clinics for families earning $50,000 or less per year is offered on all four Sundays in February. These free tax clinics are offered by Muslim CPAs and certified tax preparers as their contribution to the community. Space is limited. Advanced registration is highly encouraged. 


 Muslims' religious right to grow their beard in Federal Prisons is upheld in U.S. Supreme Court. Shura Council served as an amicus in this case.


  MiNDS Network was part of the Martin Luther King Jr. National Day of Service this past weekend, the largest humanitarian event in Orange County.
