The Islamic Shura Council thanks God and thanks you for helping it reach a milestone. Sustaining an idea and working collaboratively for two decades deserves to be celebrated. We hope to do just that but only with you. After all it is not only the Shura Council but also most of our Masajid and organizations are coming of age this year and next year.

So let us join hands and celebrate together in Honoring the Past, Treasuring the Present and Shaping our Future, "together." We are pleased to announce and ask you to save the date of March 21, 2015 to celebrate 20 years of "working together." 

We welcome your ideas to make the next year's event a historic one. We also invite you to consider volunteering for this event by emailing us at info@shuracouncil.org. 

p.s. The Shura Council will join LA Jews for Peace and our interfaith partners on Friday, Aug. 1st from 12 noon until 2 pm in front of the Israeli Consulate (11766 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles) to offer a special prayer for those killed in Gaza. Prayers do not hurt. We invite everyone to join us in our collective mourning the mayhem in Gaza.
