Orange County Sheriff Sandra Hutchens discloses she is diagnosed with breast cancer and will be under aggressive treatment. Sheriff Hutchens is a good friend of the community and a great leader of the in Orange County. We ask for your prayers for her full and quick recovery.
ACLU reports, Orange County based Theo Lacy Immigration Detention Center is considered as one of the top 10 worst jails in the country. For a full list click here. Shura Council Prison Program Services in coordination with ACLU-SC will work with the Orange County Sheriff's Department to address the race and religion abuse issues at this facility. The Chairman of the Shura Council, Dr. Muzammil Siddiqi condemns alleged illegal acts and reaffirms Islamic universal teachings and timeless values of peace, love and respect for all. The Chairman of the Shura Council was also voted as the best holy person in Orange County.
