 T.E.A.C.H. scholars
This scholar's enthusiasm spreads throughout her center The morning after one of her classes, it's not unusual for Erin Murray to rip up the activity she had planned for her pre-kindergarten classroom that day and approach the material completely differently. "I get so excited when I learn something new in class that I want to try it out right away," explains Erin, who has worked at the Four Corners Early Learning Center, a program of the YMCA of Pawtucket, for six years. With a scholarship from T.E.A.C.H. Early ChildhoodŽ RI, Erin is pursuing a bachelor's degree at Rhode Island College. She is part of a T.E.A.C.H. cohort that takes classes together in the evenings. Read more about Erin and how this cohort has made it possible for her to achieve her dream.

Center-based administrators: We need your help!
If you're a center-based administrator and haven't filled out the T.E.A.C.H. survey on staff credentials, please do so before July 3. Your responses will help T.E.A.C.H. RI create scholarship options that meet the academic needs of Rhode Island's ECE workforce. Click here to access the online survey. Congratulations to Frances Murphy (right) of the Washington Park Community Center in Providence, shown with T.E.A.C.H. RI Director Maura Pearce. Frances recently won a $100 gift certificate to the Lakeshore Learning Store in a raffle of survey participants.
