Providence kindergarten registration gets under way
 The Providence Public School Department began registering children for next fall's kindergarten classes on Thursday, January 10. The registration period runs until March 1. Dates for your child's registration are determined by the first letter of his or her last name. Click here to see the dates reserved for you and your child. The RI League of Charter Schools is holding two Charter Public School Fairs in January. These fairs will give families a chance to speak with school representatives and learn more about the 15 public charter schools.
