Greetings!

If you've been at the 10:00 am service the last couple weeks, you will have quickly discovered that the 2014-15 All Saints Choral Season has begun. You may have noticed a number of new faces this year. Many of our collegiate singers from last year have graduated and have moved away from Santa Barbara. Filling their robes are a number of Westmont students, as part of a three-year long collaborative partnership with Dr. Don Ziehl and the Westmont music department. We are lucky to have a fine group of parishioners among us again this year, many of whom have begun rehearsing on Sunday mornings at 8:15 am and some of whom are currently still enjoying the last of summer vacation.

Would you like to join us? If you have an interest in leading the musical worship of All Saints, please consider singing with us. We have 2 rehearsal time options each week. You may either come on Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in the church, or on Sunday mornings at 8:15 am in the Parish House. Stop by and try us out. You'll be glad you did!

Peace,

Steve O'Connor

Music Director

Practicing the Art of Good Neighboring

If you'd like to help with this effort, please deliver your cookies (three to a baggie) at the Church office by 11 am on Tuesday, September 30. Annual Interfaith Sukkah for Peace October 12

The Community Shul of Montecito and Santa Barbara has invited All Saints parishioners to join their Annual Interfaith Community Celebration of Peace and Dialogue under the Sukkah of Peace. This special family gathering celebrates the Jewish harvest festival ho liday of Sukkot in an interfaith way. Together we will celebrate the bountiful gifts the earth has given us, in ceremony, prayer, and dialogue.

The Sukkah was a temporary shelter built as the Jewish people walked for 40 years through the desert. The lesson of the holiday teaches us that our security and the path to peace lie not in any structure but in the journey we take together with our neighbors and friends, and in the relationships we build. Please journey with us.

Enjoy music, singing, folk dancing, and great discussion. Drinks and paper goods will be provided. Please bring a vegetarian or dairy main dish, or salad, or dessert to contribute to the celebration.

The celebration will be held on Sunday, October 12 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Shalom Garden at La Casa de Maria. Please enter La Casa at 888 San Ysidro Lane.
