Greetings!

What a joy and a privilege it has been to walk alongside you these past two years as your Interim Rector.  And what a joy it now is to know that God is preparing the way for Aimee to walk alongside you for the next step of that journey. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for the ways you have opened up your homes, your hearts, and your lives to me.  I will always treasure our time together.

In God's Grace,

Bob Honeychurch

M-4 Churches Half Day of Service a Great Success

A HUGE thank you to those who came out last Saturday for the M-4 Half Day of Service at Cleveland School. After enjoying delicious breakfast burritos, work groups were chosen and the volunteers rolled up their sleeves and got to work in classrooms and on the grounds.

Overall the day was a great success thanks to your service. If you were unable to join us for this M-4 morning, we missed you. With Cleveland School being our Focus Project this year, there are plenty of opportunities for you to share God's grace and love through service to this deserving community - and to transform your heart in the process.

Rev. Aimee Eyer-Delevett Named as

All Saints' Rector

The Reverend Aimee Eyer-Delevett has accepted the call to serve as All Saints' Rector. The Vestry met on September 3 to conduct their final discernment and select from among the three candidates presented by the Discernment Committee.  "When we looked at Aimee in relation to the qualities that our Profile called for in our next Rector, she was a perfect fit," said Senior Warden Chip Nichols during the special announcement after the services last Sunday. The Rev. Aimee comes to All Saints from the Church of the Holy Nativity in Clarendon Hills, a suburb of Chicago, where she has served as Rector for the past eight years.  Aimee is passionate about creating vibrant communities of welcome, relevance and nurture for all people, and her priesthood is marked by leading congregations and individuals to discover how God is calling them to use their lives and gifts for ministry. Read Rev. Aimee's letter to our Parish and read more about the search process here.
The Eyer-Delevett Family will arrive at All Saints in early December!

New Parishioner Art Exhibit in Church Office
'
The latest art exhibit is up in the Church Office and showcases All Saints Parishioner and amateur photographer David Neunuebel's breathtaking work. David's photography, taken during many trips to Palestine, awakens us to life in Gaza over the years. "As an avid, though amateur photographer and videographer, I always took lots of photos and video, and have made a couple of documentaries of these visits and the people I met," writes David. Stop by the Church Office and gain a glimpse into what intrigued David to return to Palestine-Israel "every year for about a decade."

The First Wedding at All Saints-by-the-Sea, November 28,1900

"On November 28, 1900, just a few days after the church was consecrated, Miss Ethel Doulton, daughter of the Mr. and Mrs. Josiah Doulton, became the bride of Mr. Louis Noble Stott at one of the large and fashionable weddings of the year with many guests from out of town. The ceremony was performed by Bishop Joseph Johnson and the Rev. Mr. Melville Moore, first rector of the church."
