News From the StillPointe Staff           January 21, 2013
Dear Patients and Friends:
We made it through all of the holidays which brings us to our new year - 2013!  It's not too late to start the year out right and to focus on the health of you and your family.  And we can help!
Here are a few things to get you started on the right track, including two weight loss classes scheduled for January 29th or February 19th; a patient appreciation event on February 5th; and helpful information on the importance of routine maintenance for your health in the article below.
And as always, we appreciate the opportunity to provide you and your family with our care and services, and for your referrals.  Together we can make this year a healthy one.

Yours in health,
Dr. Susan M. Saetre & the StillPointe Staff

TWO EVENTS TO MARK ON YOUR CALENDAR!

Nutri-hCG Weight Loss Class:  What Do You Have to Lose?
Tuesday, January 29 - 6:30 p.m. at StillPointe.
Or Tuesday, February 19 - 6:30 p.m. at StillPointe.
This program has been so popular that we are offering some great specials to help you keep your resolutions for 2013 - and keep those pounds off!  Dr. Saetre lost 25 pounds when she did the program in May, 2010, and she has kept them off.  Now she wants to go for that extra 10 to 20 pounds, and hopes you will join her at this FREE introductory class.
We will discuss the program, personalize options for you and answer questions.  You can get started right away and lose 4-7 pounds the first week.  The program promotes healthy eating, so you "detox" along the way and feel great with more energy.  Call now and register at (320)203-8266.  This is the year you will actually be ready for those fun summer clothes!

Patient Appreciation Event:  "Share the Love"
Tuesday, February 5th from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
We have a great day planned for our patients.  For a food or cash donation to the food shelf or Anna Marie's Shelter, CURRENT AND PAST STILLPOINTE  PATIENTS can receive a complimentary adjustment, even if you haven't been into the clinic for awhile.  We are excited to see you, so please come in and bring the family.  Call to schedule your free adjustment at (320)203-8266.
The day will also include free seated massage with Sheri, "mini EDS" sessions with Kate Sloan, and our "guest presenter," Dr. Laura Patterson, will address what might be making you "feel out of it lately."  Dr. Laura's NCCR© process for bringing balance and rejuvenation back to one's life may be offered at StillPointe in the future so come in for this sample session.  (See additional informaton on EDS and NCCR below.)  Plus . . . there will be prizes, healthy coffee from Alphay and surprises.
For NEW PATIENTS and people you want to refer, we will offer free exams/evaluations on Monday, Wednesday and Friday of that week.  If you refer a new patient, we will enter you into a drawing for a "Share the Love" Spa basket.  Send lots of people and get many entries!

More on Featured Mini-Sessions
at Our Patient Appreciation Day:

Electrodermal Screenings (EDS)
What is it?  EDS is a scientific approach to health assessment and has been extremely valuable in helping people regain their energy and health.  EDS uses a non-invasive pen-like device to check acupuncture points on the hands and feet that correspond with all the organs and tissues of the body to determine areas that need support and balance with diet and nutritional supplements.
Who can benefit from EDS?  Anyone who wants to improve the quality of their health and well-being, including men, women and children with health issues such as:  stomach problems, fibromyalgia, fatigue, allergies, sleep disorders, hormone problems, ADHD, depression and other chronic conditions.
About our EDS Technician:  Kate Sloan is an EDS Technician & Certified Health Coach with many years of experience.  She will help you understand what your EDS scan says, and develop a personalized plan to help you keep your body in good health and avoid health challenges by consuming healthy foods, taking quality nutritional supplements and/or homeopathics.
Try It!  Join us on February 5th for the Patient Appreciation Event and attend a FREE mini-EDS session to see what it is all about and get your questions answered.

Neuro Cranial Connectivity and Relaxation (NCCR©):
Laura Patterson
What is it?  NCCR© is a means of helping the body release blockage and imbalance with the use of energy, color, texture, sound, chiropractic adjustments, aromatherapy and massage - leaving you feeling calm, peaceful, centered and rejuvenated.  Dr. Laura Patterson, the founder and creator of the NCCR© method helps you address your issues holistically, and together, you will create a unique plan for your health and empowerment.
Try it!  Register for a free "mini session" of NCCR© at the StillPointe Patient Appreciation Event on February 5th.  The mini session is an abbreviated experience that will give you insight into the amazing healing properties of this method.  It will last up to 10 minutes and will involve light touch and massage on the neck and head.  It is a cooperative session between you and the doctor, coupled with your breath and intention.  Your unique colors, texture, sound and holographic energy is shifted, allowing you to leave feeling relaxed and centered.
Following your mini session, you will be given an opportunity to purchase future NCCR© treatments at significantly reduced cost if you are interested in continuing this service.

Clinic Updates:
CentraCare are now using the same Blue Cross/Blue Shield insurance network for their employees that we are in as a provider, so CentraCare employees can now use their insurance for many of our services.  Please call Julie with any insurance questions, and we look forward to supporting your health goals.
With high deductibles and co-pays, consider our affordable cash and wellness plans.  Because you pay at the time of service, or for a group of treatments, we can offer a cash discount.  Many patients feel that our rates are more favorable than using their insurance plans, so we are including them so you can make a comparison.  Remember, we also have a reduction for people taking advantage of massage during the same week as your adjustment.  Often, the combination of treatments helps you recover much faster.  Click here to see Cash Wellness Plans.

Routine Maintenance: Do You Take Better Care of Your Car than Your Health?
The problem with lifestyle-caused diseases is that the damage happens slowly, often without even a hint of a symptom.
We see this all the time.  When the symptoms finally show up and we get the call, the most common refrain is, "But I didn't do anything!"  Sure, bending down to pick up the newspaper shouldn't reduce a grown man to tears.  But the countless years of ignoring the nagging aches and pains did the damage.  Bending over was merely the last straw.
Ironically, the same people who subscribe to the "don't-fix-it-if-it's-not-broken" philosophy will fuss over their lawns, baby their car with fresh oil and filter and religiously replace their smoke detector batteries.  So why is a simple, "honey, I think you should go in for a check-up" met with a determined and unexplainable resistance?  Take care of yourself on a routine basis!  You will be glad you did.
