It's been a busy year for us but not because of travel. Sure we went to the Amelia Island Concours in March, and loved it, but we've been doing a lot to take the Aerovault trailer business to the next level. This has included increasing the efficiency of production, hiring not only additional fabricators but also office staff and the most visible work is a new website, new Aerovault facebook page AND new Aerovault videos on our YouTube channel. I am so impressed with what our team has accomplished and I share more details below.
You'll also notice a new look to our newsletters. They are now in a format which is mobile device friendly. Over time more and more of you are viewing our newsletters on your mobile devices. When the % of opens on a mobile device exceeded 65% we decided it was time to make the switch.
Next on our travel schedule is the Art of the Concours show in Kansas City the last weekend of June. Details below.
Now let's talk Father's Day. We list below some items we think are great gifts, in all price ranges. What I'd like to do for Father's Day is autograph and personalize any item you want at no charge. Details are below on how to place your order for this.
We've also put some extra Daytona Coupe models on our ebay store. Details below.
We hope you enjoy the read below, Peter (& Gayle) Brock

Aerovault Speeds Into the 21st Century
I can't remember many times when I've had no ideas for change but when Gayle showed me one of the final drafts of the new Aerovault website I was blown away. She emphasized edits could still be made and I couldn't think of anything I'd change. The photos are amazing from components to construction to accessories. We share the history of how the Aerovault trailer came to be. Maybe the section I like best is the Photo/Video Gallery here. I love the photos Aerovault owners have shared with us, their stories and even videos! Yes, people send us videos of them towing their Aerovaults.
One professional transporter was so impressed how the Aerovault he was towing didn't even twitch while passing 18 wheelers he decided to do a yarn test! He got some yarn and tape and placed yarn tufts on the passing side of the Aerovault, strapped a GoPro to the back of his truck pointed at the Aerovault and went looking for big trucks to pass. He got "into it" so much he actually made three videos with different tests. From the yarn test, to the changing lane test (in a construction area where the lanes were different levels from each other) to a video where he drives the course for the Silver State Challenge at speed. They are really fun to watch.

Daytona Coupe Model Odds 'n Ends
Cleaning out our inventory of the extras
When we work with a model company on a particular car model, we always order a few extra models so we can handle any damage that might occur. Shipping quality has been better than ever the last year which has resulted in us having some extra models which we can now offer.
We have placed these models that we have in small quantities on our eBay store. eBay allows us to list the quantity available of an item which ensures that only the number of models we have are sold. Hopefully you have not experienced when we've received an order for an item before we could mark it as sold out, but it has happened.
We have a variety of models available. There is a good variety of pricing as some are autographed by drivers (such as Craig Breedlove seen in the photo here) and some come with an autographed archive image. Go here to check them out.

Special Item from Daytona Cobra Coupe Induction
Daytona Coupe's schematic that resides in Library of Congress
As part of the Daytona being inducted into the National Register of Historic Vehicles, a schematic of the first Daytona built, CSX2287, was made. This schematic is kept in the Library of Congress as part of the documentation on the car in the Register. A limited number of copies of this schematic were made. We would like to see the numbered copies we have, go to good homes. If you receive this newsletter we think you're a good home! The numbers we have are: 20/100 through 29/100. Because of the limited availability we've posted them on eBay here so we don't risk selling more than the limited number we have. Each schematic is autographed by Peter Brock. Two notes:1) If you got our 50th Anniversary model set of this car and Breedlove's signature, you already received this schematic as part of that model set (a few sets are still available here)2) The schematics we have "include" a small soiled spot on one corner (about 1/8" high along 1/2" of the edge of paper). No doubt obtained on our journey back from the induction in D.C. A frame will cover this up but still we are offering these for a reduced price of $59 to reflect this imperfection.

Speaking of the Daytona Coupe
We're nearing the end of my 50th Anniversary Daytona Coupe series
We released the 6th model in our series a month ago. It was of the first Coupe built, CSX2287 at its last, and only, FIA race in 1965, Le Mans. We have two sets left here.
We are going to release the 7th model now so it can be received in time for Father's Day. It is of the second Coupe built, CSX 2299 as it won 1st in the GT 5.0 class at Sebring with Bob Bondurant and Jo Schlesser as the drivers. The set includes the accurate model, a description letter written by Peter Brock explaining the details of CSX 2299 at this race, and one of our favorite images of the four Daytona Coupes in the garage at Sebring. The more you look the more details you see.... the cars, workers, tools, etc. (we also offer this image as a poster from the Shelby Collection museum here).
Limited to 25 model sets, you can get the details here. After the 7th model there are only 2 more models planned in this 50th Anniversary set.
For those of you collecting more than one of the model sets, below is a picture of how we're displaying them in the BRE showroom. We have the models on a shelf and then the framed description above with framed photos below. As mentioned however, there are various single models available on our ebay store here.

Lime Rock Historic Festival
September 2-5 we join good friends
We're often asked: "When are you coming to the Northeast?" Well we're coming! And what fun it will be at the Historic Festival (this is its 34th year) at Lime Rock Park over Labor Day Weekend.
The weekend starts Friday September 2nd with an autograph session with my dear friend and BRE Championship driver John Morton. That night is an evening dinner Gala. Saturday is on-track racing and another autograph session with John. Sunday is the Concours on the main straight of the track, a beautiful setting. Monday is more racing and more signing. It's going to be a great weekend. Check out the details here

In Closing
I look forward to seeing which items you get for Father's Day at our BRE website here and how you want them personalized and signed. The Historic National Register schematic on the Daytona is already signed but I'd be happy to personalize it as well. Just send us an e-mail here the moment you place your order to ensure it doesn't ship before we know what you'd like. We hope to see you somewhere soon!
