It's been more than two years since we started working on the 1:18 scale BRE Datsun 510 models. With all the delays we said we weren't going to mention them further until they arrived... and the BRE #85 Bobby Allison car has just hit our dock! Details below.
Also below we give an update on the BRE 50th Anniversary Reunion.
It's shaping up to be a great 2016!

Let's Get Right to the Highlights
Amazing 1:18 scale BRE #85 Bobby Allison Datsun 510 is here!
The #85 Bobby Allison BRE Datsun 510 1:18 scale resin models have just been unloaded off the truck. Pre-orders that were made (a very long time ago) are being shipped now. Thank you for your patience!
1) If you haven't gotten this model and think you may ever want one... don't wait. We only have 100 and some of those are already sold via last year's pre-orders.
2) If you are going to the BRE 50th Anniversary reunion at the Petersen Museum in 2 weeks (Febr 20th) and want BRE team members to sign your model and/or model box, get the model now from our website here as there won't be any at the event to purchase.
One last thing to mention. These are resin models, not die-cast. Die-cast models have just gotten too expensive (seriously, how many of us would be willing to pay well over $300 for a model). We didn't know what to expect with resin but were blown away when we received these models. We weighed one against the 1:18 scale die-cast BRE 240Z models we used to offer. They weighed within 1 ounce of each other! With resin, doors don't open and wheels don't turn but as the prototype we had sat on a display shelf in our showroom, there wasn't one person that didn't think it was die-cast, even when they picked it up. We love these models!
February 20th - Presentation, Team Panel, Autograph Session!
Let's talk... signing up for this event has been confusing!
It appears the Petersen has no way to distinguish a regular admission ticket from a ticket purchased to get into the Reunion event (they even cost the same $15). They have however streamlined the process a bit on their website.
Current steps to attend: 1) Go to the Petersen event website here. 2) Scroll down and enter an e-mail address to RSVP. RSVP for each person you will be purchasing a ticket for. 4) Then on the same screen, Purchase your tickets. 5) When you arrive at the Petersen, you will give them your General Admission ticket(s) and tell them the name(s) you RSVP'd under. If your name(s) is on the list they will give you an arm band that gets you into the Reunion event/presentation room.
Your admission to the Petersen not only gets you into the BRE Reunion it also gives you all day access to see this amazing new museum (which looks as good on the inside as it does on the outside).
