Greetings!

As summer approaches, we at Energetic Juniors are excited to be here for you to continue to help your children to grow, exercise, and thrive.

In this month's newsletter, we bring you a special training offer and revisit the theme of self-esteem.  We have even more tips to help your child build his confidence and incorporate physical activity as a part of his everyday life.

Most importantly, we encourage you to take this time to go outside with your children and enjoy the beautiful weather.

Best regards,
Bonita

Train for Free With Your Child!

May is National Physical Fitness and Sports Month; and what better way to get involved than to be a healthy mirror for your child and join in on the Energetic Juniors fun?  Right now, we are offering a special deal for spring: a 4-session program where you, the parent, get to train alongside your child for free.  You can choose from one of our signature sessions or create a customized session tailored to the needs and interests of your child.  This offer is good until June 15th, so act quickly!  To purchase your 4-session, parent-child program, email Bonita at [email protected], or call 212-879-1566.

Developing Self-Esteem, Revisited

Due to a great deal of interest in last month's topic of developing self-confidence, we have decided to revisit the theme this month.  More specifically, we wish to discuss how a non-competitive learning environment builds a child's self-esteem.  Having the opportunity to learn while not under scrutiny gives a child the tools to develop a healthy self-image.  This confidence then leads to that child engaging more in physical activity.
What to Do About Picky Eaters

When a child doesn't want to eat the food you put on the table, it can be very frustrating.  However, there are ways to rectify the habits of a picky eater.  Dr. Marcie, a behavioral specialist based in Brooklyn, shares ways to deal with a child who is picky at the dinner table.

Sign up for Pre-Camp Sessions!

It's not too late for your child to work on some specific skills to prepare her for summer camp.  In addition to getting to the level of fitness she needs, we can help build her confidence as the time for camp approaches.

Now is the perfect time for training in the beautiful city parks, so make sure to give us a call at (212) 879-1566 or send Bonita an email at [email protected].
