Greetings!

This focus of this newsletter is: building confidence.  We want to help build your children's and teens' confidence through physical activity and skills development.

I can't tell you how many parents I have spoken to over the years who have shared that their child gains more confidence if he masters new skills in a non-competitive setting. Our goal is to then see that child sore and find the activity that he truly enjoys and is confident in doing with his friends.  At the very least, we want your child to feel empowered that he can try any physical activity.

Often we get feedback from our clients and parents about what Energetic Juniors has done for them.  When one of our clients, 10-year-old Ryan, told me 'I have fun and feel more confidence after my workout', I was beyond thrilled. Allowing children the opportunity to get fit, to enjoy the experience of exercising, and to develop their confidence at the same time is the heart and soul of EJ.

Best regards,
Bonita

Interviewing EJ Clients: Noah

Katrina Phillip, one of our Energetic Juniors Certified trainers, asked one of our regular EJ clients, Noah, to explain why he enjoys being a part of Energetic Juniors.  So often we get email feedback from clients' parents, but every now and then, it is nice to hear what a child himself has to say about his experience working (or rather, playing) with Energetic Juniors.
Video Vault: Developing Self-Esteem

Developing Self-Esteem (with Candice Pell)

This week, Energetic Juniors Certified Trainer Candice Pell talks about how to develop self-esteem.  Self-esteem and fitness often go hand-in-hand.  Children who are intimidated by gym class or sports activities with their peers often feel a lack of self-esteem when in those situations.  However, by providing your child with safe opportunities to exercise, learn new skills, and develop his confidence with physical activity, he will likely also experience a boost in self-esteem.  To view the video, click the image to the left.
