My mom, Shirley Newman Porte
|
I dedicate this newsletter as Energetic Juniors enters our 17th year to the memory of my extraordinaire mom, Shirley Newman Porte. Besides being a loving, dedicated Mom, endless dedication to causes for others, she was my beacon in business from the first day I started Energetics.
For all of you brave working moms out there, I want to share my mom's story with you. When you read about my mom's accomplishments, you'll wonder, "How did she do it all?" but what's written there is only a small portion of the wonderful things she did in her long life. To paraphrase my sister, Leslie, she was at the forefront of women "having and doing it all," being a woman in business, who worked for charities and social causes, and gave her family real "chicken soup for the soul."
In honor of my mom, I salute all of you hardworking moms that are part of the Energetics family.

What Are Energetic Juniors Training Sessions Like?
by EJ Trainer Katrina Phillip
This is the question that every parent asks when they contact Energetic Juniors -- what are the sessions like? Of course, the answer is that every session is tailor-made for your child or teenager, and his or her interests and fitness needs.
Here is an example of a workout that EJ Trainer Katrina Phillip did with a young client, a 10-year-old boy with a great sense of humor and a strong competitive spirit. As you can see, Katrina makes notes about important training cues and the ways that her client has improved since they've been working together.
