Does your church need an organ?

There is a Conn Min-O-Matic 2 register organ that is available for a church that could use one.  If your church could use such an organ, please call George Roberts at (916) 213-2917.
What's happening in Youth Ministry right now?

What events are coming up?
We want to update you on our current status of youth ministry in the Region.  We have two events coming up that you should know about!

1) FCC Sacramento is hosting a lock-in on January 9-10 and they have opened up the doors for all youth 7th - 12th grades in to attend.  The lock-in will feature GAMES, community, food and fun.  Thank you to FCC for hosting this event -- and be sure to put it on your calendars now.  (Jan. 3 is the deadline for pre-registration).

2) Feb Camp is coming up for all high schoolers!  Be sure you set aside Feb 13-15 to attend this weekend retreat -- we will have games, fellowship, community and talk about what's on our minds these days.

Hey, who's staffing these events?
We said goodbye to Carl Cordes this summer (bye, Carl!) who has been our regional staff person for six years.  Right now, a team of volunteers is helping to put on Feb Camp while we search for the right person to staff youth ministry.  Thank you to Rev. Jesse Kearns for helping to get Feb. Camp organized, and we'll keep you up to date as new details emerge.

What about RYC?
RYC is made up of some dynamic and great high schoolers right now!  Emily Nelson, Cameron Kearns, Grace Ott, Beth Pierson, Brenden Earl and Mary Rapmund are helping organize Feb Camp -- right now we are meeting online to get the planning done.

That all sounds great!  How can I help?
Prayers, of course!  And we need hands-on help.  Working with youth in our region is not only rewarding, it's also fun.  You'll learn a lot about yourself by being around teenagers as you are a presence in their lives during a critical period.  Helping out can come in lots of ways -- being present at camps, retreats, planning meetings, donating funds to help with scholarships, providing meals, and being present.  We can promise you this -- no one has ever volunteered to work with youth in our Region and not been glad they did so.
Youth Lock Down

First Christian Church of Sacramento is hosting  a youth lock-in for all youth in 7th-12th grades on January 9-10, and ALL regional youth are invited.  The lock-in will have a full night of crazy games, food, camp songs, worship and friends!  The cost is $20 and covers dinner and breakfast.  Registrations due by January 3.  See the flyer for details, and make plans to attend this fun event.

The 18th Annual Ecumenical Global Holiday Faire

It is that time of year again!  The 18th Annual Ecumenical Global Holiday Faire is right around the corner.  The Faire will be Saturday, December 5, from 9-3 and as always will feature gift items from around the world.  This year we will be raising money for 17 different local and global non-profit organizations.  We are particularly excited about the return of Milestones of Development, a long time favorite organization which was not represented at last year's Faire.  For those of you who don't know, Milestones is a Vallejo organization that works with developmentally disabled youth.  They create wonderful ceramics which will once again be for sale at the Faire.  Plus, there will be new items from returning organizations such as SERRV, Bead for Life and Global Mamas.  And as always there will be new "regifted" items for sale as well as crafts, gift baskets and baked goods.  In addition to great shopping opportunities, homemade lunch will be for sale and choirs will be performing all day long to add to the festive atmosphere

We lift up these churches in prayer

For the week of December 6, 2015
For the week of December 13, 2015
Let us pray for their vitality, spiritual and numerical growth, their commitment to serving their neighborhood and their openness to the Spirit of God calling them into ministry in the 21st century. Please consider incorporating this congregation into your congregational prayers this week during worship or in your newsletter, so we can grow together in prayer.

Please pray for the churches who are in transition.
