REFLECTIONS
We welcome Rev. Dr. LaTaunya Bynum

The future is upon us - and what an exciting future it will be!  On August 2nd we had an amazing Regional Gathering with one of the largest turn outs on record. A total of 61 out of 63 churches registered for attendance - WOW!  My personal thanks are owed to many who helped pull this off and arrange for many details.  If you are one of those people please wrap your arms around yourself and give yourself a hug from me, I am in your debt.

As a result of a strong positive vote, Dr. Bynum sit at her desk at 9260 Alcosta Blvd, Suite 22 on October 1st to take the helm and set the pace.  She brings with her an incredible background of rich and diverse experience within the church world.  After having spent many hours with her I can tell you it has been fun and inspirational to listen to her many stories from worship, camp, singing, preaching, training and of course the mandatory skill of juggling six tasks at the same time.  She is well qualified and ready to go on her six year mission to lead, inspire and motivate those of us in Northern California and Nevada.

In September the lead article you read in the regional news will be from Toni.  (She said I could call her that). It will be much better than those I write and you will want to read it carefully to get to know her and see how she will lay out a vision for our joint mission and ministry.  We are very proud of our 160 years as a region, and now we are preparing to drive that number up to 166 years.  The service and outreach we have been providing for over a century will only get stronger and deeper in the years to come.  I invite you to jump on board with enthusiasm and say yes to the vision and mission of this dynamic region and Dr. Toni!

Full Steam Ahead!
