REFLECTIONS
We have been to Lodi, and it was good. We stepped away from a more expensive venue and were able to invite additional leaders to provide stories and perspective for our holy conversations as well as including Glen Miles, a Timothy of CCNC-N and Moderator of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) as preacher. We missed those of you who were unable to attend.
The call to "Yes, And " embodied in worship and holy conversations of formal and informal kind nudged us:
 To release resistance and receive relationship;
To release prejudice and receive possibility;
To release criticism and receive community;
To release disappointment and receive delight;
To release fear and receive fascination that encouraged discovery of the other.
Challenged to claim a Spirit of courage and the church that God is creating in our midst came from preachers, presenters and those ones gathered together. The call to love our brothers and sisters in covenant relationship more than our fierce independence urged us forward to a New Testament church that displays generous abundance of love and resources at its heart.

We listened with gratitude as Kelsey, Shelley and Tom Warren shared their deep sense of connection with the Region over the last year. We rejoiced as Pastor Taulau Tupua spoke of the ways our prayers provided encouragement along the way to health. We gave thanks as Pastor Salesa Fa'alua spoke of the Disciples support as a church building rose from a slab of concrete to completion and blessing. There were equally compelling stories of hope and care shared around the edges that nourished our spirit.
As we did our worshipful work at the business session, we celebrated the ministry and leadership of Frank Scudero for his Second Mile Serving as part of the Regional church. We added his name as the next member of the CCNC-N Hall of Fame. Thank you, Frank.
I heard gracious and positive affirmations from partners in ministry and from CCNC-N folks. Many appreciated what took place as a deepening of relationship and understanding. To all who helped bring alive a vision of a new venue and a day of holy conversations, thank you. We could feel the winds of God's Spirit blowing around and within us.
We ARE an amazing array of Jesus followers. Thanks be to God.
Mary
There are a few additional things on my mind that I want to highlight:

 PSR Changemaker Fellowship Application Period Reopened through June 16
PSR has reopened the application period for their 2014-15 Changemaker Fellows. They are hoping once again to identify talented individuals who have demonstrated the potential to be transformative leaders and who want to further explore the intersection between spirituality and social transformation. While this opportunity is certainly open to those with ministerial vocations, they're particularly interested in attracting people seeking to live out their callings as spiritually-rooted changemakers in non-parish settings.
The 2014-15 Changemaker Fellowship will provide full-tuition scholarships for PSR's Certificate of Spirituality and Social Change, an immersive course of study, integrating theological reflection and spiritual formation with leadership for social change. It also covers expenses for exciting immersion opportunities, leadership retreats, spiritual formation, and faculty mentoring. Learn more ...
